The VALIANT Heart Failure Risk Score is a tool used to predict the risk of developing heart failure hospitalization within three years in patients without a prior history of heart failure who sustain an acute myocardial infarction (MI) complicated by pulmonary congestion and/or left ventricular dysfunction (≤ 35% by echo/left ventriculogram or ≤40% by radionucleotide scan).
